Nothin' special...

Here are two of my most recent 'favorite' pictures. I love the first one cuz it has such contrast, but yet the color is layered... does that make sense?! The other one I just thought was pretty. I took the pictures behind the house sitting on the island in the irrigation pond.

Our teacher would say that the first picture is ALMOST a "noodle" picture (and he LOVES "noodles"). What that means is that the main subject goes straight through the center of the picture. If you take away some of the water at the bottom, you still have a good picture. If you take away some of the sky at the top, you still have a good picture. If you take away sky and water and keep only the mountain view in the middle, you still have a good picture!

The reason I say almost is because of the tree. The tree adds a lot to the picture - and it might disqualify it from being a "noodle". It doesn't disqualify it from being a neat picture though!

I do really like the second picture. It makes me relax. Good eye! It might be fun to go back and take that same picture - all four seasons and watch the changes.
